Myths and facts

MYTHS vs. FACTS or don’t believe these “truths”

Some false myths will not contribute to the orientation of the large market for hot tubs. Those among customers are often distributed by the sellers themselves with the vision of earnings on lower quality goods. Don’t be the others who get told these shabby stories. The following article should help you find out the facts about the most popular whirlwind myths ever.

MYTH ONE: The more jets, the better the hot tub

FACT: Many retailers are trying to lure customers to a huge number of jets. However, they no longer specify their type and size. Much more important than the number of nozzles is their type, quality, orientation and wiring.
True, a disproportionate number of small nozzles looks good in a catalog table. But in reality, such a number says nothing about the huge power losses that occur due to friction in complex plumbing.
The placement and number of nozzles should be based mainly on the design of the optimal hydrotherapy. Dozens of tiny “sharp” nozzles can make them uncomfortable, or even painful. The sensitive design of the hot tub, on the other hand, will bring you a strong and effective hydromassage in the right places.

MYTH TWO: Big horsepower – make your pumps powerful!

FACT: A lot of horses = better performance? This may be the case in motorsport.
Optimal performance is an important factor in hot tubs. In addition to the performance of the pumps, the plumbing is also important, which can result in huge power losses.
Furthermore, the performance of whirlpool pumps is not standardised in any way and the efficiency of the pump itself therefore varies considerably between manufacturers.

MYTH THREE: We know the first: You can’t do it without a separate blower!

TRUE: Air ducts were very popular a few years ago. Now the leading manufacturers of hot tubs are abandoning them. One reason is, for example, the possibility of the multiplication of mold and bacteria, due to the lack of disinfection (the air circuit is not connected to the water of the whirlpool, which is treated). Another reason is the rapid cooling of the water and thus the higher cost of running the hot tub.
You can choose between a classic air circulation system without preheating and one with preheating.
Another alternative is the revolutionary microsilk technology of the American company Balboa.

MYTH FOUR: Ozonator? Yes, that’s enough to disinfect your water!

FACT: Another contraption. Although the ozonator can oxidize certain substances and kill certain harmful organisms, it cannot completely replace the filter and disinfectant system of the hot tub. It is merely a tool.
Always supplement the effectiveness of an ozonator or UV lamp with the use of chemistry. Only then will your whirlpool be a truly hygienic body cleansing.
You can save yourself the trouble with water with a professional ASEKO chemical dispenser.

MYTH FIVE: Insulate with a fully foamed jacket! Save money, keep warm!

FACT: Absolutely!
Many retailers deceive customers by passing off cheap hot tubs as luxury goods. Price is not the main criterion for hot tubs, so be especially wary of such “strong” claims! Check not only the manufacturer of the hot tub, but also the components involved. Find out how many hot tubs the company sells and how many it exhibits in its showroom. The more the better – it’s already true here!
Ask if the dealer also offers warranty and after-sales service. Of course, be sure to check what is included in the price of the hot tub.

MYTH SIX: You will pay a lot more for a high quality hot tub. Like, a lot.

FACT: Absolutely!

MYTH SEVEN: Don’t trust anyone or anything… And the worst are dwarfs!

FACT: You most likely don’t buy ahot tub every day .

But that doesn’t mean you should be whipped up by the retailer to chase the most expensive piece with the most bloated accessories. Do not give in to the myths mentioned above or any other. Always rely on common sense and reasonably supported facts.
